VALUABLE WORDS - 01

VALUABLE WORDS - 01

Make your family your friends. My wife and children are my best friends. I believe what Aristotle once said: “Without friends, no one could choose to live, though he had all other goods.”

The way to be blessed in life is for you to be a blessing! You need to ask yourself two questions, “Whom am I blessing?” and “Whose quality of life am I helping to increase?” If you cannot find anyone whom you are increasing in life, then that explains why you are not increasing in life. Life gives to the giver and takes from the taker!

Make a decision to do the right thing continuously. Remember, if you take shortcuts, you get cut short!

Happiness is a decision you make, not an emotion you feel! You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfectly straightened out in your family or with your business to experience happiness. If you are dieting, don’t expect happiness to come when you’ve lost weight, be happy during the process. Don’t let circumstances steal your happiness! Be happy now, it’s a choice.

You cannot heal what you’re unwilling to confront. Learn to develop an appreciation for truth. People tend to exaggerate their successes and minimize their failures and deficiencies. Face up to your truth. If you have money problems, weight problems, or marital problems, admit it and begin to work on it. Winston Churchill once said, “Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing happened.” Don’t ignore your problems, develop a plan and work on them.

People often ask for things that they are not prepared for. God will not release your blessings until you are ready! Imagine getting five hundred gallons of water thrown at you as you stand there with an eight-ounce cup. You would get pretty wet! Many people want a Rolls-Royce right this moment, but they have only a Honda consciousness! Turn your oven on, lay out your best china, and the groceries will appear.

Turn your inner critic into an inner coach. Whenever you hear your inner voice judging you, simply reply, “Thank you for caring.” Next, find out why you’re beating yourself up and then respond with a plan to fix it. Remember, never say bad things about yourself without turning the critique around and using it to motivate yourself.
