BE POSITIVE TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE

BE POSITIVE TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE

It was a thrilling, exciting moment for Robert Fulton, the innovator of the first steamboat, who was about to give his first dmonstration on the River Hudson.

Hundreds of eager spectators had gathered on the banks of the river, to watch the demonstration. Among them were a few cynics and sceptics who had little faith in the new invention.

“It will never move!” they souted, shaking their hands and pursing their lips.

But Fulton’s labour had not been in vain. Launched on the river, the boat started started to chug merrily. The crowd clapped and cheered and well-wishers surrounded the successful inventor.

As for the cynics and sceptics they now began to shout, “It will never stop! It will never stop!” But it did stop – at the right time.

The sceptics and cynics quietly slunk away. We must never say, “It will never work” about anything, until we have first given it a chance to prove itself.
