LESSON FROM BOOMERANG

LESSON FROM BOOMERANG

A boy who did not know what an echo was, cried across a valley: “Who is there?” the echo answered, “Who is there?”

The child could not see who spoke those words.

He asked, “Who are you?” Back came the words, “Who are you?”

The boy thought someone was trying to tease him. So he shouted: “Won’t you stop it?” Back came his own words, “Won’t you stop it?”

Exasperated, the child yelled an insult which was flung back into his face.

Just then, his mother explained to him that no one was trying to tease him, but that it was only the echo of his own voice which came back to him.

Then, the child cried out, “I love you!” Back came the words, “I love you!”

The child shouted, “You are so good!” Immediately, the compliment was returned to him. And the child became happy.

What we give to this world comes back to us.

Therefore, let us give love, kindness, help, sympathy and service and they will return to us, and we will stand strong as a towering lighthouse amidst the stormy waves of this world.

The love of God is brighter than the sun, cooler than the moon and sweeter and more fragrant by far than honey and musk.
